Why We Built This Site
Nevada record access is spread across custodians. DCSO creates sheriff reports and booking records. East Fork and Tahoe Justice Courts preserve misdemeanor, traffic, and early felony proceedings, while the Tenth Judicial District Court keeps later felony and gross-misdemeanor files. The Nevada Department of Public Safety, Records, Communications and Compliance Division maintains the fingerprint-linked Central Repository. NDOC and the Nevada Sex Offender Registry serve different custody and notification needs. The site exists to make those boundaries, official contacts, fees, and request paths easier to understand.
What You Will Find Here
- Record routes: ways to search and read Douglas County court, arrest, booking, custody, and registry records
- Personal history steps: the fingerprint process for obtaining one's own Nevada repository record
- Official contacts: the local counters and state systems responsible for each record layer
- Record sealing: Nevada's process for restricting qualifying cases and the courts that receive petitions
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of Douglas County or the State of Nevada. Its role has clear limits:
- We cannot retrieve an official record or conduct an official background check
- We do not submit record-sealing petitions, public-record requests, or court forms
- Certified court copies and repository records cannot be issued here
- We cannot provide legal advice about a charge, warrant, or case
- Agency fees, hours, and procedures can change and should be confirmed
Only the record custodian, such as DCSO, a Douglas County court clerk, or Nevada RCCD, can issue an official criminal record.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their own products, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral payment that supports site operations. Those providers are separate businesses, and their output is not an official Douglas County or Nevada record.
